IALT use well chosen verbs

I crouch low to the ground. Slowly I begin to crawl. My eyes set directly on the zebra. Without a blink I step closer and closer. I shuffle through the bushes quietly. I stare in hunger as my tummy growls. I dig my claws into the dirt. I bend my legs and leap!

What other verbs do you think would have fit?
